Corrosion and related hazards are really important topics in all industries, especially in oil and fuel related industries, and compliance with its standards is a priority for all sectors of the industry.
The test method of corrosion test for engine coolants (ASTM D1384) which is applied on Parsian Technology devices, is used for determining the amount of engine coolants corrosion on specific metal samples at a controlled laboratory conditions.
In this standard test method, a special set of metals is immersed in specific sample of engine coolant at 88 ℃ (190 ℉) for 336 hours with constant airflow. Weight of the samples is measured and compared before and after and the degree of corrosion damage is examined on them.
